Help. I'm too tired to hold on to God's promises.

If we are all honest, we all lack faith.
We all have days when we feel like we don't have what it takes to keep holding on to God's promises.

Is today that day for you? Here are some statements taken from one of my preaching notes about God's promises to encourage (put courage in) your faith today.

If he calls you to it, he will bring you through it.

If it is God’s will, it is God’s bill.

The one who gave you the mission will also surely give you the provision.

It is HIS nature to provide for what He has called us to do. Even His word backs it up (for every instruction, there is a provision)
  • DISCIPLES (Matt 28:18-19) All authority has been given to me.....therefore go
  • GIDEON (Judg 16:14) Go in the strength that you have...am I not sending you?
  • ABRAHAM & ISAAC (Gen 22:14) God called Abraham to make a sacrifice but at the last second, He instructed him NOT to harm his son, and then HE PROVIDED him with a ram.
  • NOAH (Gen 6:11-22) God called Noah to build an arc but he didn’t build it out of nothing, God provided the instruction, blue print, materials and even the animals.
Again,
When God instructs, He always provides

That is just who He is and there is no other guarantee we can hold on to in this world but his character.
Num. 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie,
nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?

When God swears He swears by His name.
Heb. 6:13
When God made his promise to Abraham,
since there was no one greater for him to swear by,
he swore by himself,

I don't know if you Have you noticed it, but I observed that
God’s promises are always pledged with his Integrity as collateral
  • Go. am I not sending you? (Judges 6:14)
  • I have the authority, therefore go... (Matthew 28:19)
  • see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven... (Malachi 3:10)
Faith in God is not really just about having faith in God’s ability but more importantly in His Integrity.

in other words,
you are not just holding on to an information, you are holding on to the very person - who can sustain you, provide for you, never leave you nor forsake you.

I pray that no matter how bad your situation gets, you won't let go of the promises God gave you through His word.  He is faithful and He knows best.  That means, He will fulfill but He will do it in His time and in His way.
