You say 'The battle is the Lord's' I say, 'which one???'

The battle is The Lord's

WORD
Read
Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” (2 Chronicles 20:12 NIV)
During this time, the people of God was about to go to war to fight three nations with big armies to defend their nation. It may seem impossible to overcome this kind of battle they had no choice but to look to the One who can turn the impossible to possible.
In the same way, we have our own wars and battles, and sometimes it can be difficult for us to believe for victory when the going gets tough.

CONNECT

  • What are some battles you are going through right now?
  • Recall a time when you were in a difficult situation but you were able to overcome it by someone's help.

You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the  Lord  will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the  Lord  will be with you.’ ” (2 Chronicles 20:17 NIV)

In this passage the bible shows us some of the
WONDERFUL BENEFITS OF FIGHTING GOD's BATTLE
1.  Victory is sure
  • You don't have to be afraid/discouraged,
  • Lord will be with you (PROVISION)

2. You always still have a part
  • Take up your position, (verse 17)
  • Stand firm, (verse 17)
  • go out and face them (INSTRUCTION)

SO WHAT?
HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU ARE FIGHTING GOD's BATTLE?
1.  When you know you are fighting for God's promise
  • Is it just what you want or is it what God really wants as He stated in His word?
    • God give me this 4 Million in this month's sales!
    • Lord give me that job!
    • God let her/him be the one!
    • Etc.
Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me. (Psalm 119:33 NIV)
2.  When you know you are fighting within God's premise
  • God is as interested with our procedures and motivations as much as with our results
  • If we are in Christ, We are called Christians not machiavellians (therefore the end shouldnt justify the means)

NOW WHAT?
