worry becomes my first order of business.
Today is one of those days...
But I thanked God for EXODUS 3:11-12.
It brought my focus back from my self to HIM; from my worries to His faithfulness.
Before you read on, let me give you the context. God has just called Moses to lead Israel to freedom from Egyptian slavery. Moses' initial reaction was reluctance. He tried his best to ask his way out of the mission. He had his reason:
Exodus 3:11 But Moses said to God, "Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?"Now look at God's response.
Exodus 3:12 And God said, "I will be with you.God completely ignored Moses' question and brought up the one thing Moses needed to know more than anything else:
"I will be with you"This hit me right smack in the head and brought me back to my senses. The question "Who am I?" does not really matter. The question that does is, "Who is with me?" and according to Exodus 3:12, When He calls you to it, He will bring you through it. This truth hit me where it mattered. It straightened out my wrong thinking. It's not about who I am, but who is with me.
So next time you do God's will and worries try to take over, DON'T YOU EVER FORGET:
GOD SAYS, "I WILL BE WITH YOU" - nuff said
