You say 'The battle is the Lord's' I say, 'which one???'

The battle is The Lord's

WORD
Read
Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” (2 Chronicles 20:12 NIV)
During this time, the people of God was about to go to war to fight three nations with big armies to defend their nation. It may seem impossible to overcome this kind of battle they had no choice but to look to the One who can turn the impossible to possible.
In the same way, we have our own wars and battles, and sometimes it can be difficult for us to believe for victory when the going gets tough.

God's blessing doesn't come with troubles but lessons

Being recently blessed with a brand new car through a miraculous provision (you can read about it here), I have realized a number of things, let me share one of them here.

Is experience really the best teacher?

They say experience is the best teacher
because we can always learn from our experiences
but the bad news is we have not and will probably not experience everything there is to experience in order for us to know every thing there is to know because we are limited and life is short.
Thank God there is something better than learning from our own experiences:

Husbands appreciate your wives

Tricia and I are going through a devotional book by Max Lucado.  It's called, "Growing the Marriage of your dreams" It came with an audio cd (bible teaching), workshops and activities we can do together.  The first session asked me, the husband to
"Describe the work of art that God gave me on my wedding day. Make it a point to share those feelings with my wife"
I decided to share it to her and you.
Here goes.

Wrong theologies

In one of our meetings, our staff and I discussed about some of the wrong theologies (understanding of God) we unconsciously have that messes up our activity, devotion and ministry.
Here are some of them:

And Don't You Ever Forget

There are days when I wake up and instead of faith,
worry becomes my first order of business.
Today is one of those days...

It's time for Victory LB to expand.

17 years ago, I was a freshman in UPLB.
My constant question is, "What am I doing here?!"
Of all the universities in the universe, I had to go to UPLB.
I hated the thought of moving away from my friends, my family, & my life in QC. (even though that life had nothing to do with God) My efforts to sabotage my UPCAT was futile. (didn't bother reading most of the questions I answered in my attempt to purposely fail that college entrance exam)

Obviously God had a different plan for me.

Way off tangent

...and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to bring charges against Jesus, they asked him, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?" (Matthew 12:10 NIV)

Jesus was like, "are you kidding me? can you guys hear yourself right now? What kind of a question is that? Of course it is lawful to do what is good even on a sabbath!"
